Here's a picture of me at a CSAAN Conference in February. I scanned this using Macromedia Fireworks and modified it a little... (huh? What red eyes?!)

I am very active in the Student Branch of the McGill Alumni Association - SOAR or the Student Organisation for Alumni Relations. CSAAN is the Canadian Student Alumni Association Network, which I attended as a McGill SOAR delegate. (I also went to the conference last year in Victoria, BC.) As SOAR VP Marketing for the 2000-2001 academic year, it was my job to get the club's website up and running. Click here to see it As webmaster, it was my job to conceptualise, design and code the whole thing, as well as keep it up to date - I'm very proud of my work.. I love to get feedback (positive and negative!) - email me and let me know what you think.

Fun with cropping images - here's me against an invented background. (It's actually a blown-up piece of my swimsuit there!)

I am definitely a water baby - I've spent most of my life on a pool deck or in the water. I coached swimming at my home pool - the Barbados Aquatic Center. It's a fantastic outdoor facility with a 4 lane 25-m learn-to-swim pool (where I spent many a Saturday getting a sun-burn no matter how much sunscreen I put on) and an Olympic sized 25m by 50 m pool. They plan to put in a diving pool someday, but they've got to finish paying the first part off first (it was finished in the early 1990's.) It is definitely one of the best facilities in the Caribbean, albeit anywhere. The McGill Swim team went there for their annual winter training in December. My friends on the team tell me they had a great time!

I took this photo of a sunset at the North Point of Barbados, one of my favourite place in the world.

So obviously growing up in Barbados was an experience. I was born in Montreal but I moved to "Bim" (an old nickname for the country) when I was 8 years old, so my formative years were spent there. I stayed until I returned to go to school here at McGill University.

So that's me in a nutshell - enjoy the rest of the site!
